1. Platform Overview

Fixa is a marketplace connecting customers with local service providers in Johannesburg and surrounding areas. We facilitate bookings but are not a party to the service agreement between customers and providers.

2. User Accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering.

3. Bookings & Payments

Payment is processed securely via Paystack. Funds are held until the job is marked complete. Fixa charges a platform fee on each transaction. Refunds are subject to our dispute resolution process.

4. Provider Obligations

Providers must deliver services as described, arrive on time, and maintain professional conduct. Fixa may remove providers who receive repeated poor reviews or complaints.

5. Reviews & Ratings

Reviews must be honest and based on real experiences. Reviews older than 12 months are automatically removed to ensure ratings stay current.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Fixa to harass users, post false reviews, circumvent platform fees, or engage in any illegal activity.

7. Limitation of Liability

Fixa is not liable for any damages arising from services performed by providers. Use the platform at your own risk.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Johannesburg.

1. Information We Collect

We collect your name, email, phone number, and location area when you register. We also collect booking history, reviews, and payment transaction references (not card details — those stay with Paystack).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Fixa service, process bookings, send notifications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

Your contact details (name, phone) are shared with providers when you make a booking. Provider details are publicly visible on their profile. We share data with Paystack for payment processing.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. Reviews are automatically deleted after 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

5. Security

We use Supabase (ISO 27001 certified infrastructure) and Paystack (PCI-DSS compliant) to store and process your data securely.

6. Your Rights (POPIA)

Under South Africa's POPIA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@fixa.co.za to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
